Construction activities anticipated for the upcoming week include the following:
Public Works Yard – 97 Franklin Street
The Town is awaiting arrival of the Salt Shed structure in early August.
Frank Street (Emily Street to Mississippi River)
Driveway reinstatements and paving will take place August 20th, 2026. Landscaping will follow in late September.
Napoleon Street (Wilson Street to Woodward Street)
Roadway removals and reinstatements are ongoing. Asphalt base course paving will occur on August 13th, 2026.
Sarah Street (Lake Avenue to Woodward Street)
Concrete works removals and reinstatements are ongoing. Asphalt base course paving will occur on August 13th, 2026.
Sarah Street (Arthur Street to Morris Street)
Road construction and concrete replacement efforts are ongoing.
College Street (Victoria Street to Bridge Street)
Roadway and concrete removals and reinstatement efforts are ongoing. Asphalt base course paving will occur on August 14th, 2026.
Rosamond Street OVRT crossing
All road works are completed. Line painting will occur in the fall.
Please note that landscaping reinstatement activities on completed streets will not take place until September to avoid the summer heat.
For everyone’s safety, the Town of Carleton Place would like to request that residents find alternative routes to avoid these active construction zones. If you cannot avoid these areas, please reduce your speed and follow the directions provided by flag crews and/or any posted signage.
