Proclamation – Parkinson’s Awareness Month

WHEREAS April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, dedicated to raising awareness about Parkinson’s disease and supporting individuals living with the condition, along with their families and caregivers; and 

WHEREAS Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects more than 100,000 Canadians and their quality of life; and 

WHEREAS the Town of Carleton Place recognizes the importance of research, education, and community support to improve the lives of those affected; 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Toby Randell, Mayor of the Town of Carleton Place, do hereby proclaim April 2025 as Parkinson’s Awareness Month in Carleton Place. 

I encourage all residents to learn more about Parkinson’s disease, support efforts to find a cure, and show compassion to those living with this condition.
