WHEREAS June is recognized as Seniors Month in Ontario, a time to honor and celebrate the contributions and hard work that Ontario’s older adults have done all their lives; and
WHEREAS the Town of Carleton Place acknowledges the vital role seniors play in enriching our community through their diverse experiences, knowledge, and volunteerism; and
WHEREAS Seniors Month provides an opportunity to promote awareness of seniors’ rights and the programs and services available to support their well-being;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Toby Randell, Mayor of the Town of Carleton Place, do hereby proclaim June 2025 as Seniors Month in Carleton Place.
I encourage all residents to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions of our seniors, and to participate in activities and events that promote their well-being and inclusion in our community.
