WHEREAS National Volunteer Week, from April 27 to May 3, 2025, celebrates the generosity and dedication of volunteers who contribute their time, skills, and energy to support and strengthen our community; and
WHEREAS the theme for 2025 is Volunteers Make Waves, which highlights the power, impact and importance of individual and collective volunteer efforts across Canada; and
WHEREAS volunteers are the heart of Carleton Place, making a difference in the lives of others and inspiring positive change; and
WHEREAS the Town of Carleton Place recognizes the invaluable contributions of volunteers in enhancing the well-being of our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Toby Randell, Mayor of the Town of Carleton Place, do hereby proclaim April 27 to May 3, 2025, as National Volunteer Week in Carleton Place.
I encourage all residents to celebrate and thank the volunteers in our community for their selfless efforts and to consider volunteering to make a difference.
