National Volunteer Week Proclamation – April 19-25, 2026

WHEREAS volunteers are the heart of our community, dedicating countless hours to improving the lives of others and strengthening the fabric of Carleton Place; and

WHEREAS from supporting local charities and sports organizations to assisting with community events and providing care to those in need, volunteers make an immeasurable difference in our town; and

WHEREAS National Volunteer Week provides an opportunity to recognize the selflessness, compassion, and commitment of those who give their time and talents to make our community a better place; and

WHEREAS the Town of Carleton Place deeply values our volunteers and acknowledges that their contributions are essential to building a vibrant, caring, and connected community;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Toby Randell, do hereby proclaim April 19-25, 2026, as National Volunteer Week in the Town of Carleton Place.

I encourage all residents to express gratitude to the volunteers in our community, explore opportunities to get involved, and recognize that even small acts of service can have a lasting impact.
