Earth Day Proclamation – April 22, 2026

WHEREAS Earth Day reminds us of our shared responsibility to protect the natural environment and preserve the planet for future generations; and

WHEREAS the Town of Carleton Place is committed to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and reducing our collective impact on the environment through thoughtful policies and community action; and

WHEREAS protecting our air, water, forests, and wildlife is essential to maintaining the health and well-being of our community and ecosystems; and

WHEREAS every action matters—whether it’s reducing waste, conserving resources, supporting green initiatives, or advocating for environmental protection—and together we can make a meaningful difference;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Toby Randell, do hereby proclaim April 22, 2026 as Earth Day in the Town of Carleton Place.

I encourage all residents to participate in Earth Day activities, consider how they can reduce their environmental footprint, and join efforts to create a more sustainable future for Carleton Place and beyond.
